Director & Producer Chris Cullen
Chris Cullen studied film and video production at St. John’s Central College. There, he learned all aspects of filmmaking but found his passion lay in directing. In 2009, Chris shot and directed the short film ‘Peace Park’, which was premiered at the Cork Film Festival. Chris is attracted to powerful stories, whether derived from fact or fiction. He has directed documentaries, short films, commercials, music videos, and now feature films. He is also one of the directors at EPIC Productions.
Writer & Executive Producer David Horgan
Dave wrote the script for ‘Jesus The Remake’ back in 2008. His previous feature-length script ‘Chocolate For Breakfast’ was the basis for the self-produced documentary about the failed attempt to make the film. Writing the script for ‘Jesus The Remake’, Dave was able to combine his fascination with religion and his love for mythology. He also stars in the film as the silent apostle.
Cinematographer Justin McCarthy
After an early background in photography, Justin soon realised his true passion lay in film. Developing as a cinematographer and honing his craft within short films, he has created his own unique style. This is his first feature film. He is also one of the directors at EPIC Productions.
Assistant Director Toby Lee Tyrrell
Toby's invaluable assistance at the Last Supper scene, one of the most technically complex scenes in the film, lead him to be brought on as Epic's Assistant Director on all on their projects. Toby also studied film and tv production at St John's Central College in Cork. His short film 'Lego Brick Road' was shortlisted for the final of the Ford 8 minute film competition in 2012.
Executive Producer Jason O'Mahony
Jason has a life long passion for film and has worked for the Kerry Film Festival and the prestigious Sundance Film Festival. It was during his stint as Cork Screen Commissioner that he serendipitously met with the JTR crew and came on-board as Executive Producer. "We just hit it off straight away and I leapt at the chance to help out on such an ambitious film with such a fantastic crew!"
